Of Montreal

Just caught the tail-end of the
Of Montreal show tonight at the End . . . had to work :( But what I did see was great! Really upbeat and danceable, and I think almost every hipster in Nashville was in attendance. The place was more packed than I've seen it in a long time. During the encore, they did a cover of "alright" by Supergrass, possibly one of my favorite twee indie songs ever! Very fun. I haven't heard the whole of their new album yet, but what I have heard I've liked very much. It's in rotation at WRVU, so all you Nashvillians call in and request it. Afterwards we went to the Gold Rush, which was my first time there ever. I'd like to go back more often; it had a very low key, cool vibe.
Tomorrow night is the Shins; I am off work, and if luck abides, I'll be able to get a ticket and go! So in honor of them and Of Montreal, here is Of Montreal covering the Shins' "Know Your Onion!," as well as Supergrass doing "Alright."

Sorry for the lack of posts lately; I really have no excuse. But as I doubt anyone ever reads this, I don't feel too terrible.


I guess the biggest news of late is that I am going to get to be music director (again) at WRVU this summer! I have missed doing it soooo much, and am ridiculously excited at the prospect. Expect lots of gooood mp3s starting in early June!
