Back in the (photo)Shop...
I got really into graphic design when I was a senior in high school and worked on the yearbook staff. That was the first year our school did a cd-rom yearbook in addition to the print one, and i got to go to yearbook camp (way better than band camp!) and learn Photoshop. I loved it immediately. I got Photoshop for Christmas that year, and all through college experimented with different design projects and whatnot, making web sites for fun, mix cd/tape art, or just random things. Then college ended . . . and I kind of fell off the boat. I think I got really lost and became lethargic and I guess depressed (they say a sign of depression is losing interest in things you once loved? god do they have us programmed or what?). I thought I had just lost all interest in it.
But lately, I have been a lot happier - and my interest in design has had a resurgence. I am going to try to get my website (fauxhemian youth) updated and in better shape, and maybe try to solicit some design projects for some desperately needed $$$.
Most recently I did a poster for the WRVU benefit on Saturday (which you definitely need to come to - only $5 at the End and some great local bands! More info and the poster at wrvu's website.). We are also going to be handing out flyers for our individual shows; here's what i did for my show.

See ya Saturday!

Nice flyer. I wish I had more PhotoShop skill than I do...I know just enough to be dangerous...
I just came across your blog and wanted to drop you a note telling you how impressed I was with the information you have posted here.
I also have a web site & blog about music so I know what I'm talking about when I say your site is top-notch! Keep up the great work!
